I though he might feel ooc in the end when he's taking care of Chris in a more affectionate manner - wasn't sure about that but I just couldn't have him throw Chris out of the flat or something. Figured that if he wanted Chris that badly in the first place, he'd keep him around and taking care of him was a part of that.

I welcome concrit, for me (and most fanfic writers I think) fanfic is a way to practice and experiment so getting feedback on what doesn't work as well as what does is an important part of that.
